How It Works

ALPrints.ca gives artists and photographers the opportunity to showcase their art on stunning aluminum prints while earning commissions on every sale. Here’s how our program works:

1. Submit Your Artwork
   • The program includes a one-time setup fee of $99 for your first artwork, which includes:
     • Onboarding and inclusion in our Artist Showcase (subject to approval by ALPrints.ca). You will not be charged the $99 fee if your application is not approved.
     • A personalized landing page (e.g., https://ALPrints.ca/yourname) pointing to your products.
     • Setup for one artwork across all available sizes:
       • 305×457 mm
       • 305×305 mm
       • 206×270 mm
     • A complimentary 206×270 mm classic aluminum print of your first submitted piece (excluding shipping).
2. Approval Process
   • All submissions are subject to review and approval by ALPrints.ca. We reserve the right to refuse applications or artwork submissions for any reason.
   • Once approved, the remaining program details apply.
3. Add More Artwork
   • Submit additional artwork for just $10 per piece. This fee covers the processing and setup for each additional submission.
4. Suggested Retail Prices
   • Each product size has a suggested retail price to make pricing easy and competitive.
   • You can set your prices at, above, or below the suggested retail price based on your goals.
5. Earn More with Higher Prices
   • When you set your selling price above the retail price, you keep the entire additional amount as extra commission.
   • Example: If the suggested retail price for a 305×457 mm print is $99.99, and you set it at $119.99, you earn an extra $20 commission on top of the standard commission.
6. Commission at Retail Price
   • Selling at the retail price guarantees a fixed commission for you:
     • 305×457 mm: $20 commission
     • 305×305 mm: $15 commission
     • 206×270 mm: $10 commission
7. Discounts Reduce Your Commission
   • If you price your artwork below the retail price, your commission reduces dollar-for-dollar with the discount.
   • Important: If the price is lowered to the minimum price (see table below), your commission will be $0.
8. Minimum Price Policy
   • To ensure every sale is fair and sustainable, the minimum price for each product size is the retail price minus your commission.
   • If the price is set at the minimum, all profits go toward covering production and operational costs, and no commission is paid.

Terms of the Program

1. Monthly Reporting
   • At the end of each month, ALPrints.ca will generate a report summarizing all your sales and the commissions earned for each piece sold.
2. Payout Schedule
   • Commissions will be paid out by the 15th of the following month. For example:
     • Sales made in January will be calculated and paid out by February 15th.
     • Minimum commission of $20 must have accrued otherwise will roll into future months until minimum is reached.
3. Payment Process
   • Payments will be made via email money transfer to ensure timely and secure transactions.
4. Terms for Minimum Pricing
   • You may not set a price lower than the minimum price listed for each size. This ensures fair compensation for both the artist and ALPrints.ca.
5. Adjustments and Disputes
   • If you notice an issue with your sales report or commission, contact us within 5 business days of receiving your report, and we’ll promptly resolve it.
